Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 5, 2026
SapSap is a language-learning community built around photos, conversation, and shared curiosity. These Community Guidelines exist to keep SapSap safe, welcoming, and fun for everyone. By using SapSap, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal or account restrictions.
1. Welcome
SapSap brings together language learners from around the world. You can snap photos of everyday life, explore vocabulary, practise speaking, and connect with others who share your passion for languages.
This community thrives when everyone contributes positively. Whether you're posting a Snap, leaving a comment, or helping someone practise, remember that there's a real person on the other side of every interaction.
2. Be respectful
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. SapSap is a place to learn together, not to tear each other down.
- No harassment or bullying — Don't target, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.
- No hate speech — Content that promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality is not allowed.
- No threats — Threats of violence, whether direct or implied, will result in immediate action.
- Be constructive — Disagree respectfully. Focus on ideas, not personal attacks.
3. Keep it safe
Help us keep SapSap a safe space for learners of all ages.
- Protect personal information — Don't share your own or anyone else's private details (home address, phone number, financial information, etc.) publicly.
- No dangerous content — Don't post content that depicts or encourages violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities.
- Protect minors — Content that exploits or endangers minors in any way is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Report concerns — If you see something that makes you feel unsafe, use the in-app report button immediately.
4. Original & appropriate content
Snaps and posts should reflect genuine language-learning moments and real life.
- Keep it yours — Share photos and doodles that you created. Don't repost other people's content without permission.
- No explicit content — Nudity, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or shocking imagery is not allowed.
- No spam — Don't flood the feed with repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content. No chain messages, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertising.
- Stay relevant — SapSap is for language learning and community sharing. Content should connect to learning, culture, or everyday life.
6. No cheating or manipulation
Fair play keeps the community trustworthy and the learning experience genuine.
- No fake engagement — Don't use bots, scripts, or coordinated actions to artificially inflate likes, comments, or followers.
- No streak manipulation — Earn your streaks honestly. Don't exploit bugs or workarounds to game progress tracking.
- No duplicate accounts — Don't create multiple accounts to manipulate content visibility, evade bans, or deceive other users.
- Use AI features as intended — Don't attempt to manipulate, abuse, or extract unintended outputs from SapSap's AI tools.
7. Intellectual property
Respect the creative work of others, just as you'd want yours respected.
- Don't infringe copyright — Only share content you own or have permission to use. This includes photos, text, music, and artwork.
- Give credit — If you're sharing something inspired by someone else's work, acknowledge the source.
- Report violations — If you believe your intellectual property has been used without permission on SapSap, contact us at support@sapsap.me and we will investigate promptly.
8. Reporting & enforcement
We take violations seriously and have a clear, fair process for handling them.
How to report:
- Tap the report button on any Snap, comment, or profile to flag a violation.
- All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. You can report anonymously — the person you report will not know who flagged them.
Enforcement actions escalate based on severity:
- Warning — A notification explaining the violation and how to avoid repeating it.
- Content removal — The offending post or comment is removed.
- Temporary suspension — Your account is restricted for a set period.
- Permanent ban — Severe or repeated violations result in permanent removal from SapSap.
Appeals: If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you can appeal through the app. We review all appeals carefully and aim to respond within 5 business days.
9. Account responsibility
Your account is your responsibility. Keep it secure and use it honestly.
- Use a strong, unique password and don't share your login credentials with anyone.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and contact us at support@sapsap.me.
- Don't impersonate other people, brands, or organisations.
10. Changes to these guidelines
As our community grows and evolves, these guidelines may be updated. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use of SapSap after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
